About NEYCEMA

The Northeastern York County Emergency Management Agency is an All Volunteer Emergency Management Agency (EMA) that serves the municipalities of East Manchester Township, Mount Wolf Borough, and Manchester Borough.  The Emergency Management Agency is responsible for the preparation, response, mitigation, organization, and recovery efforts of emergency incidents and disasters that effect the residents and visitors of our communities.  Our primary responsibility is to prepare for disasters and emergency incidents so that when incidents occur we can respond and provide support and coordination to local emergency services such as our Fire, Police, and EMS agencies.  Support may be in the form of providing additional resources for unified command of large scale incidents, providing rehab and food for emergency responders at long duration incidents, or assisting in providing additional resources to help mitigate the response to an incident.  For large scale incidents and disasters our EMA will open up and staff an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) that will handle all of the coordination and communications for the response and recovery from the incident.  We may open warming and cooling shelters as needed, assist with evacuations, provide support at large fires, assist with Search and Rescue efforts, or respond to large scale natural disasters that affect our communities.

Northeastern York County EMA has an “EOC” located at the East Manchester Township Building – 5080 North Sherman St., Ext., Mount Wolf, PA  17347.  This EOC has the capabilities of being the centralized location of emergency response and recovery operations during large scale incidents.  Operations such as planning, communications, resource management, incident mapping, and recovery operations are all able to be performed here on-site in a safe and secure facility.

For Emergencies Call or Text: 911
CALL ME, BEEP ME:
According to the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, Pennsylvanians across the Commonwealth can now text 911 for emergency services. This update has now reached all counties in PA. If you text 911, a tele-communicator will help confirm your location, details, and anyone involved. PEMA indicates that this will help individuals who may be speech impaired or in instances of noise causing more harm.
