Northeastern Senior Center is looking for volunteers to deliver meals to homebound seniors in our 125 mile delivery area. These deliveries provide more than just food—they offer connection, kindness, and reassurance to those who need it most. Help brighten a senior’s day by delivering meals! The Northeastern Senior Center needs volunteer drivers with reliable transportation to deliver meals to homebound seniors. Deliveries take place between 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM on assigned days. Republic Service Fee Increase Jan 1, 2025
Due to a tipping fee increase from York County Solid Waste Authority, Republic Service’s will be increasing Disposal Rates beginning January 1, 2025.
January 1, 2025 – June 30, 2025
Standard Service: $81.15 Quarterly
Low-Volume Service: $50.46 Quarterly

Senior Housing Statistics for East Manchester Twp
York County Planning Commission organized data from the US Census Bureau and provided Senior Housing Municipal Profiles to each of the 72 Municipalities. This helps municipalities understand their demographic makeup and possible trends related to their total population and older residents.
Wago Road Bridge Superstructure Replacement
PennDOT has contracted with Merlo to complete the superstructure replacement of Wago Road. Traffic will be maintained utilizing temporary signals throughout the majority of the project. There will be 4 weekend detours. These detours are scheduled to begin September 14th and continue continuous weekends until the first phase of demolition is complete. The length of this project is proposed to end approximately in October 2025. See attached letter and detour route.
