Recreation Board Openings!! Click here for forms and requirements.
Recreation Board is a volunteer position, appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Members meet both formally and informally to brainstorm recreation events and activities. East Manchester Township lacks in this area and are seeking motivated idealists to help bolster and gather the community and youth within it. More recently, a Recreation Board member, Phil Woods, came up with the idea of a disc golf course to be installed at Dauberton Park. He presented this idea to the Board of Supervisors the estimated costs, possible ongoing costs, and what disc golfing would bring to the community. The Board approved the disc golf course and the Township paid for the costs from the Recreation Fund. Phil helped facilitate the ordering and scheduling of the equipment with the Township. The Township now has a disc golf course that brings in the community from all areas of York County and further.
Examples of ideas that would come from Recreation Board are food truck events, vendor events, youth activities, and anything else one could think of. If you are interested, please contact the Township Manager, Kristie Masemer at 717-266-4279 or email at emantwp@emanchestertwp.com.
The Township does not reserve any pavillions. Pavillions at Dauberton and Saginaw Parks are a “First Come First Served”.
