Beginning the week of June 17th, Stewart and Tate, the contractor who won the lowest bid, will be microsurfacing the below Township roads/developments. Each road will be posted a day in advanced, “NO PARKING”. The Township reserves the right to have York County Regional Police Department to enforce any vehicles that remain on the posted roadways, which could include fines and towing. The Township asks that everyone please respect the workers and thanks you for your understanding during this minor inconvenience.

The Township microsurfaces roads in lieu of paving (at times) due to costs and preservation of the roadways. Microsurfacing is similar to slurry seal. It consists of the application of a mixture of water, asphalt emulsion, aggregate (very small crushed rock), and chemical additives to an existing asphalt concrete pavement surface. Polymer is commonly added to the asphalt emulsion to provide better mixture properties.
