The Township has been notified on behalf of the Developer, NorthPoint, that from Monday, November 6, 2023 thru Friday, November 9, 2023 between 11am and 2pm blasting will commence.

The blasting company has a PennDOT and DEP permit to have a rolling road block for I-83, 3-5days per week, for approximately 2-3 months, for drilling and blasting rock at the Manchester Commerce Center project located at 3895 Bear Road, York, PA 17406.

Using explosives are highly regulated and requires permits at the state level. Per Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), many people are often concerned about the effects blasting may have on their home because blasting may cause homes to shake. The effects of blasting may rattle windows, dishes and pictures hung on the wall.

Please call the Township Office to receive the site contact information for any concerns or complaints regarding this project. Blasting reports are required by the Township Ordinances and are public record upon request to review. We do not receive these reports right away. It does take a few weeks for the Township to receive them.
